ELIGIBILITY
  • Participants shall be at least Student or Graduate Members of either the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) or the Institute of Marine Engineering,
    Science & Technology (IMarEST). Participants who are not yet members of either professional institution will, however, still be allowed to participate in the
    competition provided they enrol as Student Members by submitting the RINA or IMarEST membership application form not later than 31 Dec 2005. The
    membership to either professional institution is FREE for students during the period of study of an engineering Diploma or Degree (less MSc & PhD programs)
    course in a recognised institution of higher learning.
  • Students from any engineering discipline are eligible to participate in the competition so long as the research work/project undertaken are marine or offshore
    technology-based. However, only one entry shall be permitted per student/group.
  • The research work/project shall be an original piece of work carried out by the participants and must not have previously been submitted in any competition of
    a similar nature to the MOTSPC. The work must also be undertaken only while the participants are still students in the enrolled course and would be completed
    by 30 Apr 2006.
