The Marine & Offshore Technology Student Paper Competition (MOTSPC) is the
first marine technology-based competition for marine technology students to be
held in Singapore and possibly the region. The competition is jointly organised by
the Joint Branch of the Royal Institution Naval Architects and Institute of Marine Engineering, Science &Technology (Singapore) and the
Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (Singapore).
It aims to showcase marine and offshore-related technology projects undertaken
by students at the diploma, undergraduate and post-graduate levels regardless
of the engineering disciplines. It is also hoped that this competition would serve
as a platform to promote the marine industry as a creative and innovative industry
with cutting edge research and technological advancements that adds value both
to the engineering fraternity and the society.
